Differences within an Institutional and Community-Based Organizational Environment
1. Care is provided for in nursing homes or assisted living facilities in the institutionalized environment while care is provided for at home, adult day care or hospice in the community-based environment.
2. Institutions provide care round-the-clock and day in, day out while care in community-based is sometimes on an as-needed basis, like the adult day care.
