Communism was founded by Karl Marx and Fredrich Engels during the second half of the 19th century. In 1844, the men got together and, in doing so, came to the realization that they shared similar beliefs and principles of government (Communism and Computer Ethics). The two believed that this form of government, which came to be known as communism, was the most logical form. They thought that communism would ultimately do the most good for the world and its human inhabitants. The men shared their ideas with the world when they wrote and published The Communist Manifesto, in 1848 (Communism and Computer Ethics). This text highlights the factors of importance in communism and lists communism's basic beliefs.
