Character Of Altho Odysseus In Homer's Odyssey

Imagine a long trip away from everyone you know. New land. New people. No contact with your family. All that for 10 year. That would suck wouldn't it? That's what Odysseus had to do. He didn't know if his wife had moved on and cheated, or if his son was even alive anymore. Altho Odysseus had a good head on his shoulder he still had many flaws just like you and I. He was a very smart guy but he made lots of mistake such as the crew he picked, he was cocky, anger issues, and got off track really easily. We all make dumb choices and get off topic real quick. As simples as a squirrel over there you lose focus. That's how Odysseus was. All he ever did was get off track, that was one of his big flaws. He would get off track to go home and go get himself into trouble. Like when he went and stayed with Circes. He was way off track, for a whole year! No big deal right? Wrong. Odysseus definitely had his moments too. Like when he said, “In ignorance leaving the fruitage of the earth in mystery to the immortal gods, they neither nor saw by hand, nor till The Ground, though grain wild sheep & barley-grows untended & wine grapes, in clusters ripen in heaven rains. Cyclopes have no must & meeting.” He was being very cocky and he was assuming they had no meaning and there were just a waste of time. But they are meant to be there for a reason or the god wouldn't have them there. He would always challenge people to fight and he would think he is the best and no one is better than him. Odysseus is know to be a liar and is very cunning. All of the evidence I have collected shows that Odysseus is cocky, has anger issues, gets off track, and sucks at picking a crew.
