George was a good man who keeps his word. In the story one way he keeps his word is when he promises Lennie that he’ll get him a pup when they’re camping. When George and Lennie are already in the new ranch where they'll work in George finds out an employee, named Slim, has a dog who had pups. And like a good man George is he ask Slim if he can have one for his friend Lennie. Of course Slim does give George a pup so that Lennie could have a pet. Them two did everything together and went everywhere together. There was no point in killing Lennie on purpose or w/ malice because Lennie was the only thing George had close to a family remember. Also George wouldn't keep his word and try to protect Lennie just to kill him. Think of it what would you have done if you hear voices of the other employees who want to kill Lennie. Would you do nothing and just let some strangers you barely met kill your friend and make him suffer. Or would you shoot him where he won't suffer just so the other employees won't hurt him? I know it would be hard for you but In my opinion it would be the right thing to do. Based on my evidence I think that George did not kill Lennie w/ First Degree Murder but w/
