The STD I chose to research is Chancroid. It is caused by an infection with Haemophilus ducreyi, which is a bacterial STD. The tissue is attacked which creates an open sore or what it’s normally called an ulcer. It affects both men and women. Bacterial infections cause open sores around the genitals. It is transmitted through sexual contact. It occurs mostly in developing nations. Men symptoms small red bump on the genitals, within a day or two it’ll be an open sore. Ulcer may also show up on all areas including penis and scrotum. Women symptoms develop four or more bumps throughout the labia, anus, and thighs.
