The legal process of gentrification is potentially one of the more easily argued cases, especially in a country that prides itself on its free market. Using 1520 Sedgwick as an example as well I will compare how the ideals of a free market economy would effect it with the realities of the situation. First of all, if the US was a true free market economy 1520 Sedgwick would never have been enrolled in the Mitchell-Lama program because such a system wouldn’t exist unless the government owned the property, which also would be contrary to a free market system. Following the fact that these programs do exist and the government does play a role in the economy, including real estate, we have to conclude that the government has to assume at least some sense of responsibility for the citizens enrolled in the Mitchell-Lama program. However, this does not just include the residents of 1520 Sedgwick, but the owners as well, for the government entered into an agreement with them as well.…

Per the Board's Medical Officer, based on the information available for review at the time, the applicant's file has no response for the Basis of Separation in the Case Report Directive. The Disciplinary Action(s)/Evidentiary Record section is also void of facts. Without this information, no association between a medical/behavioral health condition and misconduct can be determined. While the file does include other statements indicated that the applicant was separated from the Army due to marijuana, it is not clear that this was the only reason for separation with the General, Under Honorable Conditions discharge. The applicant's counsel contends that the Command discharged the applicant instead of referring him to the Army Substance Abuse…

The case of Stephen Dawson raised many ethical issues. According to our course notes ethics is understanding what is right, wrong, good, and bad and also what ways of living are good, bad, right or wrong. The most significant issues in this case are firstly, that the institution for long term care and rehabilitation for physically disabled children placed Stephen in foster care because his condition was just too severe and they decided that somebody else would be more beneficial from their treatment and help. Secondly, Stephen's parents initially gave permission for the doctors to go ahead with the second shunt operation required to save Stephen's life but shortly after changed their minds because they thought it would just be better off for Steven to be allowed to die. Thirdly, The superintendent of family and child services did not agree with the parents decision and fought for custody of Stephen, eventually succeeding and approving…
