I took the Certified Nursing Assistant class my junior year of high school, which had me working in a nursing home my fall semester and a hospital my spring semester, two experiences that exposed me at an impressionable age to what a career in medicine exactly entails. The following year, I took the Pharmacy Technician class in order to branch a little out of the medical field and explore pharmacy, but upon completion of the course, I felt that a career in medicine was the best for me; from my Pharmacy Technician experience, however, I learned valuable skills about working in a workplace with other bright minds in close proximity, which would prove beneficial in any career in medicine. As a phlebotomist, I often see the best and worst things that can happen in the hospital.
