Centennial Park: A Short Story

One sunny day,Angelica and her friend Altasia decided to take a walk in Centennial Park. All of sudden, they noticed a black cloud approaching their way. Moments later, it began raining real hard then came a large whirl wind that swept them off their feet. Angelica and Altasia was no longer in Centennial Park. Instead they were in a mysterious place they never been before. They were in a field of talking plants. They decided to take a stroll in the field to see if they can find their way home. Altasia asked one of the plants how to get back to Atlanta. The plant told them in order to get back to Atlanta they need to go and see Ms. Tulip and to follow the rose pedals road, so off they went. she said the nucleus is a bound of organelles containing chromosome.Angelica and Altasisa was so excited that they wanted to hear more, so Ms.Tulip went on about the nuclear membrane. she said the nuclear membrane surrounds the genetic material and nucleus in eukaryotic cells. Then she started talking about Chromosomes. She told us that Chromosomes were made of protein and a single molecule of deoxyribenucleic acid. Angelica then pointed to another organelle and asked what is that Ms Tulip? Ms. Tulip laughed and said that is the mitochondria and it is found in large numbers in most cells and it helps with the biochemical process of respiration and energy production. She told them that all plant cells needs a space within the cytoplasm that contains fluid and this space is called a vacuoles. Altasisa then said, “wow I never knew so much is going on within a plant cell”, Ms. Tulip said I know girls we are almost there only three more things I like to talk to you about and you will be back in Atlanta for
