HKL has department known as Cawangan Teknologi Maklumat (CTM) which has been establish since 1991. It plays an important role in HKL by maintaining and providing ICT infrastructure, IT equipment, and Application Systems for the hospital. The HKL network is operating by connecting all the departments in HKL to each other and the Internet. The objectives of CTM are to provide information services for the staff in the most cost-effective way, excellent networking, and introduce innovative technological techniques and resources to support administrative operation at the hospital. Main task of the Security Unit is to manage security HTAR include physical protection, personal documents and to plan, formulate, monitor and implement safety regulations currently in force. In addition, the Security Unit overseeing the security company appointed by tender by the Ministry of Health. The HTAR security unit has several functions. The functions are provide advice to staff safety protection Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (HTAR), patients and visitors, as well as buildings under HTAR from any threat, whether by accident or malicious intent by sabotage or by other means, to advise security protection to the assets owned by the hospital, office equipment, machinery and other property under HTAR of damage whether accidental or malicious, and theft, and implement policies of the department of security affairs and ensure that they are complied …show more content…
The library is headed by a Librarian (Grade S41) and assisted by a Library Assistant (Grade S17). The HTAR library unit has clustered loan with the National Library which function to accommodate the collections are absolutely unable to accommodate the information needs of users due to the lack of provision for purchase of books. It gives an opportunity for the staff member HTAR for general reference as in the field of religion, motivation, hobbies and many more. The library also has the latest collection of novels that written in either Malay or English also got rave reviews from users.
