As we know, this disease develops in the joints, which supports our body weight and by eliminating unhealthy eating habits, one can reduce pressure on the knees and other areas that are prone to osteoarthritis. “Well conditioned muscle and muscular balance are needed to attenuate impact loads, provide joint stability, and support function and independence” (Pelletier and Raynauld, 2006) These are preventative measures that can be taken into consideration when dealing with this chronic disease and thanks to our technological advances we now have access to the latest therapy equipment. Now we have greater chances of reducing the risk of developing osteoarthritis.
