Shortly after the D- Day invasion in the summer of 1944, a group of disgruntled German officers organized a plan to assassinate Hitler at his “Wolf’s Lair” command post in Purrsia, Germany. The main man of this plan to assassinate Hitler was Claus von Stauffenberg, a colonel who had lost a hand and a eye during combat in Africa. He and his co-conspirators included Tresckow, a man who has been part of three or the attempts to assassinate Hitler now, Friedrich Olbricht, and Ludwig Beck. They planned to kill him with a hidden bomb and then use German Reserve Army to topple the Nazi High Command. There was a man who was in part of three of the assassination attempts on Hitler. I only told you three that was really interesting to me. There was more than twenty assassination attempts on Hitler. Hitler was basically on the most hated guy in Germany at this time.I feel like the people who tried to assassinate HItler just didn't like the path he was putting their country in.
