Catcher In The Rye Case Summary

I paid invoice NS207 to Holden Services for crane services to unload a leaning container (JBHU 278251 top container) that was set out in Sheffield, AL. Upon inspection, the container was loaded per the AAR Intermodal Loading Rules; Holden then unloaded the bottom container JBHU 241746 which was also compliant with the AAR ILR. SGF Reagh confirmed that the well car (BNSF 253800) was mechanically defective; causing the containers to lean. Both containers were loaded into another well car and sent to destination. In addition, Holden was hired as they were able to respond with a crane quicker than anyone else due to being a local contractor. There was four additional containers that was being delayed so this incident needed to be handled in a timely

Per the pick and delivery schedule given to and agreed upon by PFSL these containers should have been picked up from the terminal on a Monday and delivered on a Thursday. Industry standards dictate containers should be returned the following working day, and they were not. PFSL contends that the schedule given to them left no time to return the containers within the free time allotted causing the per diem. The issue taken is not with said contention, as we did request the full usage of the free time, but instead the liberties taken at the discretion of PFSL with the timing of the returns above and beyond any agreed-upon schedule. Had the schedule been followed, the total per diem would have amounted to $600 per container, not $2000 and…

So when we received the notice, I attempted to cross-reference them with the invoices and during that time I believe I found a discrepancy in payments made to Linebarger. (Please see attached spreadsheet which provides a breakdown of each invoice including charges, balance transfers to collections (column e), and payments.) Based on the original THEA invoices, $2,719.86 in tolls ($1,154.55 for tag 1687PI and $1,565.31 for tag U627EI) were sent to Linebarger for collections, however, per our payment records, we paid Linebarger a total of $3,076.47 just from 7/2014 – 9/23/16. This leaves an overpayment of…

1)Author’s style and examples The Catcher in the Rye has a very dark and melancholy tone. This comes from the word choice that Salinger implements into his writing, which includes many vulgar terms and words that provoke sad thoughts. It is the repetition of words, such as goddamn and depressing that help create this dark tone. This also allows the reader to understand Holden Caulfield’s personality.…

At the end of Chapter 16, Holden comes to the conclusion that he wishes that he was a child again, and knows that he can’t. As he walks to the museum, he recalls his childhood visits to the museum( 120-121). I think that Holden wants to go back to his childhood, because his dead brother, Allie, was alive then. “ Certain things they should stay the same” (122), I think Holden says this because he wishes that his childhood with his family could be frozen, just like the glass cases in the museum. Then Holden passes the playground and tries to play with kids on the seesaw, but he’s an adult and the kids don’t want to(122).…

The survey I took gave me the results of conventional, enterprising, and investigative in that order. I disagree with those being even most of the ways a mind works, and really found it a useless waste of time. However, in this paragraph I will just disregard those results and just talk about my dreams for the future and some main things about me.
