Cassandra, the Scottish princess of Perth was born on December 4th, 1989, to her parents Eliza and John Wales. Cassandra was different from the other girls; she had an extraordinary talent one she had yet to discover. At the age of 6, Cassandra reached for her first paintbrush, and painted a baby boy with the date 5/13/1998 painted at the right corner of the painting. Cassandra as a young child always dated her paintings ; her parents asked her “why do you date all of your paintings?” Cassandra answered what seemed to be a simple question with “ I write the date of which I see in my mind”. Cassandra’s parent always believed something wasn’t quite right with their daughter, they called her “special”, however they didn’t know just how …show more content…
Lucinda was Cassandra’s mother’s best friend, and had helped Cassandra escape from the earthquake, however Lucinda was unable to save Patrick, because he was crushed by one of the Castle’s columns. Lucinda knew of Cassandra’s gift, and constantly tried to force Cassandra in to painting. However, Cassandra refused to paint she felt as if she was the reason her parents and her brother died. Cassandra feared the idea of painting; because she didn’t want anything else to happen to the people she loved. Cassandra had stopped her painting completely, but never stopped seeing the dates in her mind. Cassandra would constantly watch the news on the date she had seen, “Two dead”, “plane crash”, “tsunami”, “earthquake”, and “ Fire, 100 dead”, read the headlines. Without painting Cassandra could only see dates, the only way to know what was going to happen on that date, was to paint the event. However, Cassandra refused to paint the event because she felt as if she had taken part in the destruction of people’s lives. Cassandra always wondered where she got such a horrific skill, and constantly asked herself why her parents didn’t acquire such a skill.
