The Jefferson County Egan Murders took place on New Year’s Eve in 1964 in Watertown, New York. Two brothers and one sister were murdered at a rest stop on interstate 81. There are many different factors that took place during the investigation. Some different tests, procedures, and equipment that we have today could have helped this case a lot that were not available during the early to mid-60s. For example the way evidence is secured so it does not disappear. The Egan murders were a long investigation which resulted in a long trial.
