I believe that Sutter Health should create a custom application for their practice. Although all the facilities were not affected by the outage, I think that a custom application will be most beneficial. All facilities should have access to the same information so that if they system went down at one location, they can call another place and retrieve the necessary patient information or have the ability to log in remotely to retrieve the data. If this type of application were in place, the patients would not have been aware of the system failure, and it would have been business as usual. A custom application with more than one mode to access information would have saved the organization a billion dollar which is an enormous amount of money
