The aim of Job enlargement is to decrease the monotony and boredom involved in doing the same job every day (Tims, Bakker & Derks, 2013). By increasing the amount of tasks at work, the company attempts to improve the efficiency of the employees to overcome overspecialization. One methodology of job enlargement is job rotation where workers shift from one task to another during the work hours. This approach aims to improve work efficiency with regard to mechanical work pace.
Scientific management emphasizes on precise specializations and narrowing of workers activities and tasks to reduce excessive labor (Ugboro, 2006).
