Pomegranate Kitchen is tackling the issue of refugee integration and employment head on, by providing training, development, and work for former refugees who work in their kitchens preparing meals for Wellingtonians. Pomegranate Kitchen offers catering services and delivers delicious meals prepared by former refugees living in Wellington, to central Wellington workplaces. Starting with lunch delivery and small group catering, the business aims to become profitable and self-sustaining. They are a not-for-profit social enterprise with strong values to not just empower refugee women but also to make them able, capable and employable. Pomegranate Kitchens main objective is to gain more public awareness and further attain social and financial objectives by delivering quality meals to the consumer. This can be achieved by providing the consumer new, innovative menus in order to keep up with the competitive market and by increasing the market share. These short term goals can be achieved by implementing a new marketing strategy, understanding and tapping into the technologically driven social media millennials and by reaching out to the masses or a new market segment besides their current market of corporates. The Long term objectives includes creating a brand image, a new consumer database by offering loyalty programs, increased check size, brand awareness and a broader market presence. This will eventually lead to limit restaurants and food service organisations from producing excessive waste. Therefore, in order to overcome this, Pomegranate Kitchen should plan and organise more yield-less waste management procedures beforehand. ii. Disaster Management
