After participating in Delta Academy, the work done by Deltas within my community was discernible. Growing up, it was not uncommon to see Delta women toiling selflessly to make the community and world a better place. I quickly realized that in order for change to happen, you have to emulate the change that you long to see. I am a firm believer that in life, the only responsibility we have is to give back to the community. Time and time again, I find myself pondering new, innovative ways to provide my community with resources that were not available to me, or my peers, growing up.
