Name of case: The kidnapping of three young women
Victim(s): Sofia Silva, Kati and Kristin Lisk
Suspect: Richard Marc Evonitz
Overview: One day, Sofia Silva was kidnapped off of her front porch and found 5 weeks later in a nearby creek. Just 8 months later the same happened to Kati and Kristin Lisk who were the found floating in a river five days later. After investigating Kati and Kristin’s body, pink fibers were found on Kati’s body. Then in June of 2002, the killer struck again this time kidnapping a girl and taking her to an apartment where she was handcuffed for 18 hours. The girl escaped and led the police to the apartment but upon arrival the killer was gone. After taking back 600 pieces of evidence, the same pink fibers found

Upon arrival police found the body with hair clinched in James hand which sparked the idea to get his body examined immediately. After examination of his body, James was found with 20 steak knife stab wounds, and had been hit 4 times in the head with a blunt object, which was determined to be the cause of his death. The hair that was found in James’s hand had been traced back to Frank Wright. The police claimed Frank as a suspect after finding out that he had got into an argument with James an hour before the bar had closed. There were no witnesses of the attack but with knowing of the argument and the hair DNA analysis, police knew that the suspect was Frank wright. This information, as some would say ,was all for nothing because Frank wright was found dead due to alcohol abuse prior to the discovery of this information.

Name of case: The disappearance of Melissa Brannen
Victim: Melissa Brannen
Suspect: Caleb Daniel Hughes, Apartment complex groundskeeper the Brannen family was staying in
Overview: Because of Daniel Hughes’s sudden laundry decision the day after the disappearance, he was nominated as a suspect. With further investigation, the police searched Hughes’s car and found hairs and fibers that got sent to the lab for immediate testing DNA analysis testing. After undergoing the analysis test, the hairs turned about to be the exact same rabbit hairs found on the jacket
