Good Afternoon,

Krystal’s file was reviewed today by our Transfer Admissions Counselor and she has been accepted to WPU (within the last 30 minutes). She should be receiving an official acceptance email from me within the next few minutes. She would need to submit her deposit soon so her account information can be created before classes start next week.

If possible, can you send me a list of the names of the athletes you are recruiting? I have a created a Google Doc that list the recruits and their admissions statues. You will be able to access the document at the link below, and can see the admissions status real-time. Please let me know if you have any questions.

As a student athlete at a NCAA Division II university in 2017, I have personally experienced the recruiting process and can honestly state that I would not willingly do it again. The main subject that I’ve chosen correlates to regulations being changed in regards to payment of college athletes. I would focus my attention on the NCAA governing body, government and the public in a persuasive paper to achieve a wide-ranging group of onlookers who may have a concern in this matter. I chose this subject because in light of the facts of this issue I accept change in how the NCAA view amateurism needs to be modified. Additionally, how its governing body should compensate the student-athletes for their services while in school is necessary for today’s landscape of big-time college sports. I likewise have a son who participates in college athletics, and I wish to help encourage change.…

In the movie Moneyball (based on the book Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game by Michael Lewis), Billy Beane attempts to form a competitive baseball team for Oakland Athletics by assembling undervalued talent through a sophisticated approach of Sabermetrics. As demonstrated in the movie, a strong team can be built with empirical analysis of the game, answering objective questions and making data based decisions in athletic recruitment as against prejudice, wisdom and gut instincts. The team registered 20 consecutive wins and the sabermetric model became the future of baseball. Mr.Glen Cathey, who is SVP Talent Strategy KForce, writes about the topic: The Moneyball Approach to Recruitment.…
