I think my choice is reasonable because the backpack program fall within the Lemon test standards. First the backpack program has no secular purpose. In fact, Rev. Watson, Pastor of the Sycamore Baptist Church and his congregation had decided to implement the backpack program to address the needs of the community related to hunger. Likewise the backpack program neither advance nor hinder religions. It was stated that there would be no hassles, no questions, no charges and no stigma attached to receiving the backpacks. To conclude even though the backpacks displayed “Give Us This Day, Our Daily Bread” the wording was not picked to cause entanglement with religion, they designed and purchased the backpacks for the intent to collect the empty
