Alief ISD is school district that is located in southwest Houston in Alief TX. As of 2015 – 2016 school year, it has 47, 227 students and speak more than 80 dialects. The district is one of the highest paid teacher salary. In 2015 – 2016 class, it was reported that 92.5% of students received their high school diploma and the dropout rate was 1.9%. Alief is a home for pre-dominantly medium-sized homes and the district offers lowest tax rates in greater Houston area which attracts lots of recent immigrant families that are new to the state. Approximately 42% of students were enrolled in bilingual and English language learning program. The district has 3 High Schools, 12 combination of Intermediate and Middle schools and 24 Elementary schools.
