Case Incident Analysis

I apologize for the delay on getting you this report. I have been stalling, trying to wait for the outstanding hospital bill to be received pursuant to our subpoena. The plaintiff’s attorney has listed a billing amount of $3,915.00 in a letter to me, however, he has not backed that up with actual documentation. That is really the outstanding item I believe you will need in order to make an evaluation of this case.

Otherwise, this is a rather simple matter. Our insured client, Chance Haney, likely has liability for the accident. It sounds like he took the turn in question at little to fast. He is probably fortunate not to be the subject of another lawsuit from the other vehicle he stuck. He mentioned bad road conditions on the

He followed up with a family doctor about a week later and requested some direction on chiropractic treatment. The doctor encouraged him to get electronic stimulation treatment at a chiropractor’s office. The plaintiff was then seen several times by Dr. Cary Camp, a chiropractor in Talladega. He claims lost wages of $253.00.

Regarding damages, the plaintiff claims total special damages in the amount of $5,582.20. This includes an emergency room bill of $3,915.00 which we have yet to confirm through our own subpoena. However, with four X-rays, this does not seem to be an extra ordinary amount. What I would like to confirm in that bill is the presents of any collateral sources. I tried my best to get the information straight from the plaintiff’s attorney, but he does not seem very interested in committing much effort to this case.

I am enclosing herewith a copy of the irrelevant billing and medical records I have received this far. Once I receive a response to my subpoena on the Citizens Baptist billing I will forward that to you directly. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns about this matter. I look forward to speaking with you again

A civil suit is commonly derived from a private party or individual, who alleges damages from duty of care. Once a civil case begins, it is the duty of the plaintiff to prove, with evidence, duty of care, breach of duty, causation, and damages. Conversely, the defendant must prove their affirmative defense against documented allegations. The Oliver versus Brock case proves the importance of supporting evidence as opposed to hearsay statements, to prove the truth of the matter. In the Oliver versus Brock case, Cathy (Plaintiff) filed a lawsuit against Bryan Whitfield Memorial Hospital of Demopolis and the treating physicians Dr. F.S. Whitfield, Dr. Paul Ketcham and Dr. E.C. Brock (Defendant) for negligence of care.…

When you visit the doctor’s office a person doesn’t think about all the steps it takes to process your visit and what the office does to receive payment from the insurance company. As a patient, the focus is seeing the doctor, telling him or her the symptoms, getting the doctor’s assurance that your health will be back to normal in a few days to a week and getting a prescription for medication. There is a process to making the following steps work smoothly and precisely. The procedures begin with preregistering the patient, establishing financial responsibility, check the patients in, reviewing coding compliance, reviewing billing compliance, check out patients, monitor payer adjudication, generate patient statements and finally follow up payments and collections. Each step has to be done thoroughly by attaining the information necessary to process the claim for the care provider.…
