Casa San Ysidro

After doing a modified PEST Analysis, Porter's Five Forces and a Capabilities Audit, we decided to do a SWOT analysis to properly assess the environment in which Casa San Ysidro operates, and hopefully identify areas in which they can grow as an organization.
Strengths. The first major strength that must be mentioned is the knowledge and passion of the Casa San Ysidro staff. By all accounts, Casa San Ysidro is successful due to the variety and knowledge of their docents, the successes of the tour coordinator in getting events booked, and the leadership and direction from Dr. Stovel at the top.
Another strength of Casa San Ysidro is the space itself. Quite simply, the grounds at Casa San Ysidro is simply breathtaking. Casa San Ysidro offers stunning views of the Sandias, as well as a beautiful courtyard and corral area that are both great for events and gatherings. Then, on the inside of the museum, they have very intriguing pieces that really come alive when

While the space is definitely a strength of Casa San Ysidro, it can also be considered a weakness, especially with regards to the infrastructure. Casa San Ysidro is currently not equipped to host events on a grand scale; they need improvements to WiFi, to the exhibits (to make them a bit safer for mass traffic) and the need for more (and bigger) bathrooms. They also are far away from places such as UNM, which makes it a bit difficult to increase traffic. By estimates, it takes approximately 20 - 30 minutes to get to the museum from UNM; troublesome mainly because our target market is primarily Millennials.
Opportunities. Expanding the usage of Casa San Ysidro is the biggest opportunity currently for the firm. One of the biggest strengths is the space itself; it is one of the biggest strengths for Casa San Ysidro and they can certainly use it for other events. Infrastructure improvements also represent an opportunity. By upgrading the internet, it allows Casa San Ysidro to
