Washington, DC 20001. The hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Casa Ruby provides basic service to several hundred clients per week. The services include; but are not limited to, assistance with emergency housing referrals, criminal and immigration legal service counseling, case management, support groups, internet resources, clothing, and hot meals. Many of the Casa Ruby’s clients have income of less than $15,000 per year.

In 2007, Ms. Corado began working with the District government. During that time, Ms. Corado signed a contract to provide 6 beds for homeless LGBT. In October 2014, Ms. Corado was appointed to assist with inter-agency counseling for homeless LGBT She eventually signed a contracted

Corado has invested in this community. The demographic we serve are hurt and need the love, help and care that we at Casa Ruby provide to each one of them. The reality of this situation is that if we don’t care for them no one will we are not conventional agency we are a family. During my tenure at this agency I have watched this woman go over the finances with a fine toothed comb to make sure that everything that was budgeted was taken care of that she has worked some days 18 hours with very little sleep as I would assist …show more content…
Casa Ruby 1 (Transitional Living Program) is located at 1122 Columbia Rode, Casa Ruby 2 (Emergency beds) is located at 738 Gretchen Place, and Casa Ruby 3 (Hypothermia Center) is located at 2822 Georgia Ave. According to Ms. Corado and TCP Program Officer, Candyce Coates she has met the number of bed requirements presented in each DHS contract to include TCP.
• Ms. Corado also provided documentation of each client’s name, identification number, location and entry date and stay at Casa Ruby. According to Casa Ruby entry and exit report, Casa Ruby 1 has been fully occupied and new residents usually complete the residential process within two weeks. Residents have also been able to gain independence in about three (3) to five (5) months. (Exhibit # 10)
• Per Ms. Cairns, Casa Ruby was notified that the Hypothermia grants had been approved and eligible to request reimbursement during the first Hypothermia alert.

CONCLUSION

No evidence has been found to support the allegation that Casa Ruby Executive Director, Ms. Corado have been misappropriating DHS’ awarded or reimbursable funds by paying Casa Ruby employees half of their salary or hourly rate for Contract ID # 15-13-Ruby-LGB and contract # 16-13-Ruby-LGB, and Contract award and renewal ID #JA-FSA-OD-002-15.
