According to (Deborah & Portland, 2015) career assessment is when an individual asses their skills, interests, personality and values to discover which career is best suited for them. Career assessment process can be done by assessing those four areas of an individuals. The highest score an individual gets in all those four areas is assurance that career is best suited for them. This essay seeks to explain different career assessment that an author has conducted on herself, than a brief theoretical introduction about the kind of career assessment that has been conducted. It will further describe the instruments that are used and their psychometric properties. This essay will go on to explain strength and weakness as well as personal experiences

The role of the EP in Consultation is more of problem discussion stage, so in regard to career planning an individual has to talk over with a psychologist their abilities, interest and personality characteristic (House, 2015). Educational psychologist are an important tool because they are able to gather the individual’s information from different sources, which includes parents, teachers, friends and other professionals over time. The length of the questions made me loose interest in continuing doing the test. Another limitation is that the test is meant to be taken with a trained psychologist at present and it becomes very difficult to take the test allow. Which was more difficult is scoring the result since it needed a manual and finding manual was rather difficult, I had to ask other peers how to score. Some questions I had to use a dictionary to understand some words and I realised later on that am not the only person who struggled with some words since English is not our first language. I thought that working on the assessment as an individual could same how turn to be bias and I can change the result to be what I expected them to
