What are careers and personality? We encounter a lot of challenges throughout our careers, but we could benefit from the unbiased pieces of advice. The challenge may be stemmed through our career choice, decisions based on change of career or even the workforce entrance (Dollar & Schroeder, 2004). Other factor that may attribute to career advice seeking is the recovery process from a job loss or even job hunt in different fields. These processes are overwhelming and hence the need to have some professional help. The Myers-Briggs have devise career selection through the personality type that helps one in career development and selection processes. This aspect is with respect on the intuition that one deals with the outside world. The intuitions are based on the behaviors that we exhibit towards other people, various behaviors, and other people and things. A judging person, for instance, will call; for an action to be settled quickly which make him or her actions are based on their processes based on their decisions. A perspective, on the other hand, will exhibit more open-mindedness in dealing with issues (Pulver & Kelly, 2008). The work environments have a significant influence on how we view a particular job regarding comfort. An individual who is likely to exhibit introversion will find difficulty in working in an environment that has a lot of interactions and most likely where there is loud music. In the case of such situations, one may be required to do their stuff in suitable locations or any time that there is less interference in the same environment. The personality matters corresponding to the preference that helps one to work with the desired occupation through. The consideration of the new direction that one gets involved in depends on in all the one’s preferences. ISTJs are attributed to the career success advantage as with regards to the perseverance. ISTJ can be employed to anything that one can decide on any career with a careful selection in areas of natural interest.
