When you exercise your body goes through chemical and physical changes to accommodate your sport, some of the changes are vasodilation, raise in heart rate and blood pressure change.
When you first start exercise your heart rate will rise preparing the body for exercise. This is because the muscles will need more oxygen to work at their optimum level. The typical resting heart rate is from 60 – 80 beats per minute therefore the pre exercise heart rate will usually rise above this preparing the body for the activity. The heart rate will continue to rise till you have held a constant intensity once you have reached this your heart rate will begin to plateau, because the muscles don’t need any more oxygen …show more content…
Stroke volume is the amount of blood pumped round the body in one beat. When you first start exercising the stroke volume will increase because of the muscles will demand more oxygen to continue to work at their maximum rate. The stroke volume is a lot like the heart rate, it will continue to increase till the body doesn’t have as high as demand for blood therefore it will start to plateau out. The higher the strike volume the faster the heart rate will be. The rise or fall in stroke volume influences what the performer’s blood pressure will be. The speed of which the heart works at will affect the systolic value, this will be linked to the stroke volume; because that’s how many times the blood is pumped out the heart, proving that the higher the stroke volume the higher the systolic …show more content…
The musculo-skeletal system has many benefits on the body such as increased pliability, increase blood supply and increased range of movements.
When exercising the muscles will begin to get looser as they begin to get warmer, this will allow you to move them faster and overall your body will be less rigged which will benefit athletes because of the increased flexibility, improving their performance. Blood supply will be increased as well, the musculo-skeletal system will help oxygen travel round the body to the muscles, and the increased blood supply will reduce the fatigue in muscles faster, due to the faster supply. This will benefit the athlete because it will allow them to continue at a higher intensity for longer.
The stress that is placed on your muscles during exercise leads to micro tears in your muscle fibers, the muscle tears will cause swelling in your muscle tissues. To repair these tears protein is needed to build and repair these tears making them stronger, so next time you go to exercise you will be able to do the same exercises easier, over time you will have to adapt your training session due to the progression of your
