“CardioGood Fitness is a company who develops high-quality cardio-vascular exercise equipment. (York College of Pennsylvania) They produce equipment such as treadmills and fitness bikes. The CardioGood Fitness case study presents data upon different types of treadmills, TM195, TM498, and the TM798. It also uses a variety of classifications to identify who used what. TM195 is an entry-level treadmill with few features and programs. Customers who purchased product TM195 were between the age of 18-50. The only way to justify if this statement is true or false, is to tool at the data given. It isn’t easy to reach a hypothesis or conclusion by just looking at the data. They’re divisions that classify people regarding their shared characteristics. When taking two categories that are shown in this data, you can compare the one another. By making a chart with gender in rows, marital status in columns, and count of marital status in vales, you can identify how many females and males are single or partnered. Inserting a bar chart will visualize this data better. A bar chart visualizes categorical variables as a series of bars, each bar representing the specific category. Titles, amounts, and colors help you identify which one is which. In this case, when looking at the bar chart, you can conclude that 27 females and 21 males are partnered, while 13 females and 19 males are single. For example, two numerical variables in this data are age and the usage of product TM195. Now, to help you visualize the comparison, histograms are a great way to explain the difference. Histograms visualize data with vertical bar charts where each bar represents a class interval. The class interval used in this histogram is age. The bars are divided between ages in groups of tens, 18-27, 28-37 and so on. This is shown on the x-axis. On the y-axis, usage of treadmills is shown. By looking at the histogram, you can conclude about how many treadmills are used at a certain age group. For example, 24 treadmills are used from people who were between the ages of 28 and 37.
