After reading chapter 5 I have gained a greater knowledge on the cardio vascular system. The chapter explains how blood is used to transport things throughout the body, and the different passages that are used. Also included is what happening in our hearts when our heart beat. Different types of diseases and disorders that are possible in our cardiovascular system are also explained such as what happens when someone has high blood pressure. What surprised me the most while reading this chapter was reading about all of the different disorders that can occur. Most of the disorders I had previously heard of but I didn’t know what was actually going on in the body when the problem occurred. One example would be a stroke, although I knew that a
