The tradition of consuming cannabis orally is an ancient, perhaps tens of thousands of years old, while cannabis smoking is much more recent. (Jardin, 2014)
In order to consume your own edibles though you are going to have to make your own cannibutter.
You are going to want to gather all the ingredients and tools required to make the product.
Then you are going to grind up the flowers and leaves of the female plants for easier THC extraction. After all the simmering is done you are going to want to strain your butter into jars for storage if you do not plan on using your butter immediately. I am going to take you through these three basic steps in making a Cannabutter than can be added to any of your favorite recipes as a healthier alternative to smoking your medicine.

You are going to want to use approximately one pound of milk fat butter per ounce of cannabis flower and leaves, this is the most important part because without the herb you have no Cannabutter. Once you have acquired the cannabis and butter to produce your desired amount of Cannabutter you will want to acquire either a double boiler or two pots. One pot should be smaller than the other and also have a lid. We can’t forget the grinding tools, straining materials, and storage containers.
