Canada consists of three territories and ten provinces. The three territories are Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut. The ten provinces are British Columbia, Alberta, New Brunswick, Manitoba, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec, Prince Edward Island and Saskatchewan. The major difference between a Canadian province and a territory is that provinces receive their power and authority from the Constitution Act 1867, whereas territorial governments have the powers delegated to them by the federal government.
Canada consists of 37.6 million people. Most of the people live in south Canada. The population has increased from the 1950s to the 21th century by the triple. The two official languages in Canada are English and French. Traditions in Canada: Canada has a lot of traditions of the U.S.A, because of the immigration. One of these traditions is Thanksgiving Day, the 1st October. For instance, in Nova Scotia, the celebrations last for twelve days and feature is the appearance of masked people called “belsnickers”. In Quebec province, celebrations finish on January 6th, with the “Party of the King”. In many parts of French Canada, a meat pie is severed on Christmas Eve, called “Tourtiore”, which consists on pork, potatoes and onions. Three Festivals in Canada:
