Designers in the fashion world are people that express their creativity through different forms, patterns, structures, and designs. One designer well known and very successful when it comes to fashion is Calvin Klein. The historical information of this designer has been a huge impact on his current success.
Calvin Klein was always interested in fashion ever since he was a little boy. The steps leading to his success were not always easy, but were definitely worth it. Calvin has always been interested in fashion, ever since he was little. The two people that really inspired him to go down the path of fashion were his mother and grandmother. His mother is a very creative lady and loved the art of fashion, which rubbed off on Calvin. “His grandmother was a seamstress and he acquired his love of sewing from her” (“Calvin Klein Biography,” 2015). He attended the New York High School of Art and Design, which was a school that prepared students for careers in advertising and drafting (“Calvin Klein Biography,” 2015). He was a kid that would sketch, create, and sew fashion designs, instead of playing sports, like most kids his age. After high school he got a degree at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Studied there from the year 1959 to 1962 (“BIOGRAPHY: Calvin Klein Lifetime,” 2015). After college his did work at a variety of different places. He worked as an assistant for Dan Milstein for two years and spent five years as an apprentice in a coat and suit house on Seventh Avenue in New York City (“Calvin Klein Biography,” 2015).
