My state is is California. California’s birthdate is September 9th, 1850. California number is 31 in the union. California nickname is The Golden State.
The capital of California is Sacramento. The major cities are L.A., San Diego, and San Jose. One major geographic feature is Klamath Mountains and they are located in the western United States. California neighboring states are Nevada, Arizona, and Oregon. The main rivers of California are the Trinity river, Sacramento river, and the Colorado river.

Over 100 tribes inhabited the area. California's name was originated from a mythical island populated only by beautiful Amazon worries as depicted in greek myths. Map makers started using the name ”California” to mark unexplored territory on the North American west coast. The first European to explore the California coast was Juan Rodriguez. The English explorer and privateer, Francis Drake sailed along the coast of California in 1579 after capturing two spanish treasure ships in the Pacific. The spanish divided California into two parts; Baja California and Alta California. In 1602, 60 years after Cabrillo,the spairyard Sebastian Vizcaino explored California coastline from San Diego as far north as Monterey Bay. James was born on 12/14/1896. He was born in Alameda,California. His father was Frank Doolittle and his mother was Rosa Doolittle. His nickname was Jimmy in some cases his name was Jimmy H. Doolittle.

James H. Doolittle was an only child of Frank Doolittle a carpenter and Rosa Doolittle. James grew up in L.A and Nome, Alaska. To aid James's record-breaking in 1922 James H. Doolittle made the earliest airplane toilet.

James was an adventure. He built his reputation as a boxer and a good one too. James was married to Josephine Daniels. The couple had two sons named James Jr. and John. Where they lived is not given.

James went to Manual Arts High School, L.A Jr. college and U.S.C. James career in the world war was as an aviator pilot. He helped with the bombing of Japan in 1942. James sometimes flew missions by himself. at age 49 he was the youngest general ever in history. He commanded the raid on Japan in 1942.

The Air Force had to use B-25 bombers to bomb Japan. America was not aloud to get within 400 miles of Japan. He talked one of his bosses into letting him lead the attack. He was given a double promotion from Brigadier General to Major General. 16 planes that he commanded flew over Tokyo and a few others cities as well. Only two planes returned. He was an amazing
