The cabinet departments are the national offices with the highest status and visibility. The cabinet is not in the Constitution and it was a creation of President Washington (CITE). These are the fifteen cabinet level departments:
• The Department of State provided safe keeping of the Acts, Records, and Seal of the United States. This developed a foreign policy, advance freedom, and create a secure and beneficial world for American people. The head person of the Department of State is Secretary John Kerry.
• The Department of the Treasury called revenue, producer money, and formulate economic policies. This department is responsible producing all of the currency and coinage in the United States. The head person of the Department of the Treasury …show more content…
This department consists of 66 million acres of land and was consider under the Department of War in 1824. The head person of the Department of Interior is Secretary Sally Jewel.
• The Department of Agriculture formulates policy on farming, food, and natural resources, maintain food safety, and combat hunger worldwide. The head person of the Department of Agriculture is Secretary Thomas J. Vilsack.
• The Department of Commerce is a fast, serve, and promotes the nation’s economic development and technological advancement. The head person of the Department of Commerce is Secretary Penny Pritzker.
• The Department of Labor assures work safety, fair pay, and unemployment insurance benefits. The head person of the Department is Secretary Thomas E. Perez.
• The Department of Health and Human Services protects the health of all Americans and provides essential human services for those who are not able to help themselves. The head person of the Department of Health and Human Services is Secretary Sylvia Matthews …show more content…
