The Cavaquinho is a popular instrument, played in many festivals in Brazil. It can be found played at Samba and Chro festivals in Brazil. The Cavaquinho is a small string instrument and is very similar to the Hawaiian Ukulele. The two instruments share the similar shape. They also produce the same sound and the similar notes.The Cavaquinho was brought to Brazil by Portuguese explorers. The Cavaquinho is made of wood and outlined by four strings. The Cavaquinho was introduced to Brazil in the thirties.
