As an AP Scholar and National Merit Commended Student, I am constantly challenging myself, both inside and outside the classroom. I am very involved in the Eagan High School community, taking Honors and AP Courses, and participating in several extracurricular activities. I have been writing for my school newspaper, the Eagan Independent since my freshman year, and now as a senior, am editor in chief. I am also involved in Business Professionals of America, which has given me the chance to explore different careers and opportunities in business. Additional activities I participate in are National Honor Society, Student Ambassadors, and LINK. I am especially attracted to its applied learning program, which provides the knowledge and guidance necessary to succeed as I enter the business world.
Furthermore, I’d like to take advantage of the Wisconsin School of Business Study Abroad Program. To truly understand a different culture and benefit from the experience, it is important to be immersed in its daily life. Traveling to and being a student in another country will allow me to look at the world from a global perspective. This will help me make more informed decisions in the business world.
While visiting campus, I also learned about the Business Career Center. Getting a head-start through thoughtful academic career planning is extremely important to me. I plan to utilize the career resource services that are available to UW-Madison students, including resume building, networking, and seeking internship
