Before this class, my understanding on business interpersonal skills was inadequate. I never knew that interpersonal skills would involve so much more than just being able to listen and give feedback to someone. I also didn't know what to wear when someone or an invitation says "Professional Dress." I would always get very confused on this topic, before taking this class. I knew that your period is an important factor on your interpersonal skills because your peers is the first thing everyone sees, and I lacked on this topic. Another thing I didn't know about interpersonal skills was that it also involves assertiveness, non-verbal communication, and decision-making. I was unaware of the way you move your hands affects your personal skills drastically. …show more content…

I have also learned about new topics like what is proper business etiquettes and business ethics. Before taking this course my views on business was that they are very important in a business environment and you have to stick to the rules that are put in place. I took this class very seriously, so to me all the topics we covered were very valuable, but there was one topic that I think was the most valuable, networking. Before taking this course I knew that networking was semi-important thing if you were trying to find a job but I didn't know that you could make a huge difference. From learning more about networking I have come to a conclusion that it makes a big difference, it could send you to the top of the list for an interview. In my personal opinion, all of the things I have learned throughout the course I would not change anything. All of the assignment you gave us were on point with the topics. Also for any student that takes COB 202 come with an open mind, and remember everything you learn because this stuff is a basic of what you need to know to be successful in your

Hello, My reason for substituting this course is due to the fact that I have already learned the knowledge and concepts from a course taken from a previous school (ENGL 102 from the Community College of Philadelphia) which satisfy the course objectives for ENGL 202C. With this course, I learned the techniques I need to write an effective technical paper. During this course, I wrote multiple papers which dealt with various aspects of our world today, such as science and technology, social interaction, and economic facets. This gave me an advantage because not only did I know how to write an effective paper in science and technology (the main theme of ENGL 202C), I also wrote on other factors of life which allowed me to broaden my horizon and…

On the surface I think I am like most students: I take university seriously, I have my own visions for the future that I am determined to make happen, and I do not expect anyone to lead my way. What makes me different from the rest of the crowd though is how I love to take part organizing something for the greater good. During my school years, I have joined several school organizations which has taught me how to work well in team and how to work under pressure. Previous experience has also given me a considerable amount of confidence in my interpersonal communication skills. I look forward to putting this skills and experiences in this Peace tour as a leader.…

I truly feel that this class was beneficial to me due to, as simple as it sounds, I did not know the amount conversation that is currently happening within and around our profession. Again, while we do all have memberships with the AOTA, I do not feel that I would have found and learned about these issues myself. In addition to some of my own laziness, I think that a huge factor that kept me from wanting to learn about these issues on my own would be that I did not really know where to start. Now, not only do I know where to start to continue my inquiry in this area, I have a foundation of this knowledge. This foundation includes, not only the areas that we talked about in class, but also has given rise to interesting follow up questions I am interested in inquiring about.…

You are in class one day when the teacher announces a new assignment: students are to research and give an informative speech about any topic of their choosing. As the student, imagine that you are terrified to not only present the speech in front of your entire class, but to have to go through the process of picking a topic, researching it, organizing your speech, and practicing it as well. At the beginning of my communication class, this was how I felt about producing and giving speeches. I was nervous to talk in front of the class because I have always been very shy and have suffered from extreme speech apprehension. I also dreaded picking a topic and organizing my speeches as well, since I could never make up my mind and I was never good…

The concept within Exam #1 of Accounting 203 that I seemed to struggle with the most was the interrelation of each financial statement. I was conflicted in the task of defining which specific account and/or topic appeared on each financial statement. In addition to this, I also seemed to struggle in the condensed definitions of the financial statements. However, I did feel that I performed adequately in the section of the exam that dealt with the concept of expenses and losses and gave a fair performance as I journalized transactions. Before delving into how I feel that I may address my problematic concepts in the future, I must admit that I believe that my utmost struggle with this first exam was the way in which I prepared and…
