Examples of this include: arranging staff meetings during a potluck to create an open atmosphere and help ease tension, and utilizing an anonymous survey to assess attitudes. We believe both of these recommendations will contribute to increased morale. Further recommendations include: (a) reevaluating the effectiveness of billing and coding procedures; (b) improve reimbursement by enhancing software, supplementary training, or hiring additional staff to accommodate the workload; (c) consider replacing the BM due to insubordination and ineffective billing, and (d) implement routine chart audits for billing and coding to improve reimbursement rates. In keeping with the theme of relinquishing control, I need to take a objective look when it comes to operational, or departmental planning. My mentor, Bruce, once told me "that if our people make up the plan, then the buy in is done. When a vendor isolates its feature set to a much narrower window, they will become that much better with them and what this means for LogRhythm is that these companies can provide great value by acquiring them to not only reduce competition in that market space, but also potentially incorporate some of their technology into their own product. According to Dufour (2004) the professional learning community model requires educators to focus on learning, working together and holding themselves accountable for their own improvements (Dufour, 2004, p. 11). I recognize that in order for students to progress, educators must become lifelong learners by making sure students learn, collaborate with other educators and revise their teaching practices. Presently I facilitate professional learning communities that allow teachers to view and discuss data about their students. Teachers are prompted to share teaching practices that give ideas to other teachers on how to improve instruction. Then they create plans to ensure that students understand the skill or concept that’s being taught…
