School counselors are working with severe depression, suicide attempts, drug abuse, teen pregnancy, and various abuse issues (Gunduz, 2012). Abuse specific counselors work with sexual addiction or substance dependence experience high levels of burnout due to the nature of the clients that they assist (Wallace, Lee, & Lee, 2010). Mental health professionals that work within a human service entity are known to be at the highest risk of burnout susceptibility (Puig, et al., 2011). Sangganjanavanich and Balkin (2010) indicated that mental have professionals have the responsibility to care for those that they serve with the sacrifice of their health at risk. Moreover, young counselors appear to be more susceptible to burnout due to their lack of experience compared to older more mature counselors (Sangganjanavanich & Balkin, 2010). Thus, burnout often causes counselors to be under so much pressure that they find work in more rewarding
