Bumping Into Mr Ravioli Analysis

Life is full of things that occupy our time on a daily basis and most days’ life can hit and be awfully hard to overcome. However, life is not meant to be that way. Everyone should not always be occupied with things to do because it can overlap and cause huge burdens. In the story, “Bumping Into Mr. Ravioli” by Adam Gopnik, it shows how his three-year-old daughter Olivia has an imaginary friend named Charlie Ravioli. It turns out that Olivia never gets to play or see her imaginary friend because he is always on the go and this causes Gopnik to pay close attention towards her. In doing so, he starts to question the mysteries of life and how it has impacted his own life due to this incident. Gopnik worries that Olivia felt lonely and had this imaginary figure in her mind because her own family was too busy to do anything with her on a daily basis. Being too busy in life and not having enough time for anything that one may like to do can be harmful towards the attributes of one’s life. From a loved one’s viewpoint, we can learn being too busy and not part taking in anything else shows how the barriers of culture and values can change everything about being one’s true self.
First of all, everyone’s daily life is full of events such as work, going to play with friends, spending time with family and much more.
