Top Management Commitment This should include all managers and leaders within Buckeye. Safety and health programs should be visible, and a serious commitment for everyone within these roles. It is their jobs to ensure that all information is passed down to employees in order for a safety culture to be established. The significance of this commitment is to share expertise from all leaders and managers within Buckeye. This is achieved when each member understands his or her role within the program that has been set in place. The role of each committee member and their commitment is defined below.

Employee Involvement

Employee Involvement is crucial within a ergonomics program. Constant communication between management and the workers is a defining factor within our program. Suggestions and feedback are encouraged at Buckeye and are a necessary element. The following are tools for the workers to understand and be a part of this ergonomics program.

1. Membership on Leadership- allowing workers to sit on meetings held by management will allow them to feel a part of the team which will result in more cooperation.

2. Reporting Symptoms- will be encouraged and will rewarded within our work environment.

Worksite Analysis

Worksite analysis finds hazards and conditions as well as operations that create hazards within the work environment. Furthermore it collects data through the examination of recurring patterns of injuries or illnesses that may develop into CTDS. The goal of the worksite analysis is to familiarize, identify, and fix ergonomic hazards within Buckeye Partners. In the early stages effective controls can be achieved with little or no investment. When a job has started, changes can be still implemented, but usually require modifications to existing equipment that is in use. These changes also require workers to change the patterns in which they work. Implementing these changes after methods have been formed can affect the process negatively or positively within its time frame. The key is to have employee involvement throughout the whole process and to use the multiple controls
