Brutus's Actions In Julius Caesar

Brutus was a brave man that took action on protecting Rome from slavery. Many believe that Brutus was a cold hearted killer when he stabbed his friend, but in hindsight, what he was doing it for was a much broader matter. He was able to see through Caesars lies and notice that he was not suited for high power. Brutus understood that if he did not take action that Rome would fall into slavery under the power of Julius Caesar. After the killing of Caesar, Antony steps up and gives a funeral speech. He pulls emotion and heartfelt words into his speech to convince the crowd of Brutus being a betrayer. However, Brutus also pulled emotion, logic, and ethics into his speech, but it did not prove to be as powerful. Unfair to Brutus, the crowd jumps to the conclusion that Brutus is a betrayer; they do not look at the fact that what he has done has saved them all from hardships and slavery.
