Mr. Levenson, co-founder of United Communications Group (UCG) which owns and operates the mobile application GasBuddy, formed Atlanta Hawks, LLC to buy the Hawks and Philips Arena along with NHL's Atlanta Thrashers in 2004 for $250 million.
