I get to know them personally by asking questions about what they want to do with their life, how they are doing in their classes, and give them tips on what to get involved in so they can start to think about their career. This job has allowed me to work with a variety of children who are at different stages in their life and need guidance. The job has allowed me to show children that I want to help them and make sure that they succeed. The Boys and Girls Club poses as an after school program to keep students off the streets and to make sure they have the resources and tools to grow and continue to progress through life. At the club, I started a Step Team. The children loved it and I enjoyed teaching it because it allowed for me to get to know them and work with their individual needs because it gave them to have an activity to look forward to. Helping children at The Boys and Girls Club has allowed me to love and continue to pursue my dream in becoming a Juvenile Counselor so that I can make an impact on children who feel as if they have nothing to live for or they will not succeed because of their social class, living environment, or their
