th the popularity of bottle water growing every day, it brings up the question... Is tap water better for you or bottle water? Which taste better? Which has more nutritional value? Here are a few things I have learned. Tap Water is monitored and regulated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) , Amendments to the Safe Drinking Water Act (SWDA) of 1996 , numerous test are conducted to ensure water standards are being met and water is free of contaminates. Most community water supplies have the added benefit of Fluoridation and that promotes stronger healthier teeth. Water systems have to be certified to operate, Chlorine is added to kill dangerous bacteria and organisms. You cannot recycle water from the tap. However not …show more content…
Bottle water has had claims that the plastic in the bottles contains “Phthalates” there has also been the rumors on social media that hot bottled water left in your vehicle can cause cancer. Seventeen millions barrels of oil are used to make and deliver bottled water, that equals .22 for every imported bottle of water. Bottle water often doesn’t have the Florine of tap water. Bottle water distributors don’t have to list the source of the water.... Do you really know where that water is coming from? Bottle water doesn’t undergo the required testing of tap water. The most interesting fact of all is ..... if the water is bottled and sold in the same state, FDA regulations DO NOT APPLY!!!!! Know Tag water “cons”. Microorganisms are present and disinfectants and the byproducts, inorganic and organic chemicals and radionuclides that can irritate everything for the nose mouth and kidneys.
