Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15th, 1929. King was born in Atlanta Georgia. King’s parents are Michael King Sr. and Alberta Williams King. He was the middle child of three. His brother was A.D. King and his sister was Christine King Farris. King grew up in Georgia with his parents. For high school, King went to Booker T. Washington. King was assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee, United States by James Earl Ray. James served 99 years in prison after confessing to the crime. King was only 39 when he died. Being shot is a terrible fate.

King started his education early in his life. He went to David T. Howard Elementary School. Then he attended Booker T. Washington High School. He skipped his first and last year there. He was accepted into college at the age of 15. He attended Morehouse College. King is most commonly known for his “I Have a Dream” speech. This speech was very successful. To achieve the things King did would’ve been remarkably difficult in his time period. He was an African-American trying to stop racism. He had fantastic leadership skills. King also showed great courage for standing up for his beliefs. Then the determination to for not giving up. He showed great passion in educating himself in all he spoke about. King inspired people through his speech. To me, that speech made it look like everything is possible, and when you set your mind to it, everything is possible! This is what King had to go through. He was an African-American trying to send a message about racism to the U.S.A. Somehow though, he did it. This is extremely inspiring because only one person did this. One person gave over 2 500 speeches in his short life. He was giving speeches for 10 years. This is why King is such an inspirational
