While reading this book it got me wondering about another book that I have read, which is called “ Lost Cities” by Neil, Morris. The two books share a common main idea, as well does this book talk about abandoned and forgotten cities all throughout history. These two books take us on a fantastic journey to look back on the forgotten. Wretched ruins talks specifically about lost cities that have been populated for a period of time and then had gotten abandoned as time went on. For example, the section called “A City Beneath The Sea”, it states that a raging storm had swept all across southern England in January 1362 causing massive waves and powerful floods swamping in the German, Danish and Dutch coasts. This resulted into thousands dying and a town vanished into the sea in Germany. Lost cities also portrays different cities that show evident detail about what has happened in the past, explaining it in-depth and the logic behind these mysterious outcomes, the book also shares some of the same topics, formats, and
