All the work done in the church is through the members of the church that is referred to as the congregation. The congregation in the church is made up of the men and women on a voluntary basis. The bishops and other leaders hold separate professions outside of the church. Mormons (members of the church) contribute also by helping with different age groups and purposes with men, women, and children to teach in the church, clean the church, and work in various ways to build the church. Outside of the local congregation, some of the members are called to work in the temples, others to help people in their time of need. Mormons are “called” to their areas of service by their local leaders and whether or not they accept is on a personal basis. The Church service for the members is not done for recognition, or a service of duty, rather the members wanting to enrich and spread the word of the gospel to as many believers as possible. Mormons believe that all humans who die will live eternally. They believe that there is a process in which happens at the final state of being. Upon physical death, the soul will undergo instruction and preparation. According to the Mormons, when a person dies, they believe that the soul will physically leave this world, immediately crossing into an afterlife. Then after some time the Mormons believe that there will be a resurrection at which time of the spirits will be reunited with the bodies forever. The afterlife of a soul into the next is made of peace, no pain, and no suffering.
