Along with those four there was Samson, however I don’t believe he was a judge since he was so far away from God at the end and didn’t follow the path he was supposed to be on. Othniel, had the spirit of God give him wisdom and courage to face the Israelites. Othniel went out into war and was able to have the king of Mesopotamia in his hand. Israel then was at peace for about forty years until Othniel died. After Othniel dies, Israel goes back to their sinful ways serving Eglon and the city of Moab. God then sends the second judge Ehud, who was a judge of divine justice. He saves Israel out of Moab and they were then at peace again for about eighty years. Then comes Shamagar who kills 600 Philistines and “saves” Israel. The last judge Deborah, who judged Israel and was God’s mouth to them. She shows the Israelites what caused this pain. She shows them that Satan was being worshipped. Deborah , alongside Barak defeat the Canaanites. However after Deborah, the Israelites go back to what is evil. God sends in Gideon. However, Gideon wasn’t a judge he was a prophet. Gideon then defeats the Midianites due to his great faith in God and destroys the altar that they worshiped Baal on, but the cycle wasn’t over. They were back to serving God but that didn’t last long when Gideon died. Then they were back to sinning again. Samson didn’t really help that situation because he was there to help the
